We are also one of the only veterinary clinics in the Durham and Chapel Hill area to care for pocket pets (hamsters, rats, guinea pigs, and rabbits), birds and exotic pets. Our veterinary clinic is committed to providing the highest standard of care for your pets and educating you, as a pet owner, about how you can keep your pets in good health.
Veterinary Hospital Provides Compassionate Care for Durham and Chapel Hill Pets
The services at our veterinary clinic include standard pet wellness visits, spay and neuter procedures, animal dentistry, animal surgery, dog boarding and cat boarding. Our animal hospital offers routine wellness care for all pets and recommends an annual or semi-annual wellness check-up. Dogs and cats need to be vaccinated annually, or bi-annually according to the vaccine type. During a visit, one of our veterinarians will typically perform diagnostic tests including blood work and urinalysis in addition to the physical exam.
Pocket Pets
We also care for pocket pets, and because these animals are so small, they can experience major health changes over the course of the year. An annual check-up is essential to ensuring that they are in good health.
Our animal clinic provides emergency care and urgent care services during our regular office hours, Monday through Saturday. No appointment is needed. If it is an emergency, we request that you call us while you are on the way so we can have a veterinarian ready to assist you upon arrival. In an urgent care situation, we will squeeze you and your pet in as quickly as possible to see a veterinarian. If your pet is sick or requires surgery, we may also conduct additional diagnostic tests such as heartworm testing, blood pressure evaluation, and urine protein evaluation.
Our veterinary clinic offers a safe and secure environment for pet boarding and gives your pets plenty of personalized attention, nutritious meals and lots of exercise. We offer boarding for dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and rats. Dogs receive outdoor playtime several times a day and cats and pocket pets can enjoy the large windows in our boarding suite to safely observe outdoor excitement.
